How long until I can return to work or school?

It depends on the illness. For strep, you're typically not contagious 24 hours after starting antibiotics. For flu and COVID, plan on staying home until you're fever-free for 24 hours without medication. We'll write a return-to-work or school note before you leave.

Do you prescribe Paxlovid for COVID?

Yes. If you test positive within five days of symptom onset and meet eligibility criteria, our providers can prescribe Paxlovid the same visit.

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?

Both work. Walk-ins are welcome Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM. Booking online usually means a shorter wait.

Will I get antibiotics?

Only if you actually need them. Most colds and flus are viral and antibiotics won't help — but if your test or exam shows a bacterial infection, we'll prescribe what's right.

When to choose urgent care over the ER

What to expect at your visit

Check in at the front desk or use our online portal. A provider will examine you, run any needed rapid tests on-site, and write prescriptions to your preferred pharmacy. We'll send you home with a clear plan and what to watch for.

Insurance, pricing, and walk-ins

We accept most major insurance plans, Benny Card, and Santé. Cash, check, and credit card welcome. Medi-Cal is not accepted. Walk-ins are welcome Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM at both Fresno locations.
