Get to know our providers: Michael Palms, FNP

Michael Palms didn’t initially plan on entering the medical field.

While enlisted in the Navy, he developed his skills in computer network security, maintenance, and administration. Only after leaving the Navy in 2006, his uncle, who was a registered nurse, inspired him to pursue a career in healthcare.

Michael graduated from Fresno State in 2014 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and began working in physical medicine and rehabilitation, gaining expertise in spinal interventions and joint procedures. While working, he pursued his master’s degree. He trained under Dr. Brent Wilson, which helped shape his healthcare philosophy of providing quality care and genuinely loving patients.

In January 2022, Michael transitioned to full-time work at Everyday Healthcare.

Patient Philosophy

Michael’s approach to patient care focuses on building connections, not just clinical relationships. He believes in earning patient trust by finding common ground by sharing personal stories, making the healthcare experience more human.

His faith plays a significant role in his life, and he believes that spiritual health is just as important as physical health, as it gives purpose to people’s lives.

Outside of Everyday Healthcare, he is passionate about mentoring high school students with his wife through their church. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and children.

Recommendation from Dr. Wilson

“I highly recommend Michael Palms as a dedicated and compassionate healthcare provider. During his training under my guidance, Michael demonstrated an exceptional commitment to quality care and a deep understanding of the importance of treating patients with both clinical expertise and genuine compassion.” -Dr. Brent Wilson
